The Departments of Agriculture and Livestock of the Government of Himachal Pradesh have launched 11 online services under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme. These include five services of the Department of Agriculture and six of Livestock.
Five Department of Agriculture departments include Chief Minister Nutan Polyhouse Project, Chief Minister Mukhyamantri Khet Sanrakshan Yojana’s Greenhouse Renovation Program, Anti-Hail Program and National Agricultural Mechanization Program.
Services of the Livestock Department include maintenance of gestation ration for native or crossbred cows of farmers belonging to BPL families of general categories, Him Kukut Palan Yojana, Krishak Bakri Palan Yojana, maintenance of gestation ration for breeders under SCSP, and Best Animal Rewards Program, among others.
Applicants can now apply online for these services on the Himachal Online Services Portal (e-district) – edistrict.hp.gov.in.
With these online services, applicants would no longer have to visit offices to apply for the DBT program and could apply for multiple programs using a single login.
The ability to track the status of the application online is also provided. Candidates can also apply through Lokmitra Kendra, e-district portal or directly on a standalone website.
A nod to 24 industrial projects
The 22nd Meeting of the State Single Window Inspection and Clearance Authority held here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur approved 24 project proposals for the establishment of new industrial enterprises and l expansion of existing units involving a proposed total investment of approximately ₹2,989.44 crores and an employment potential of around 5,610 people.
The chief minister said this shows that HP continues to attract investment despite the general downturn in the economy.
He said the new proposals approved by the authority include setting up medical equipment units, scrap metal shredding facilities, biofuels, folding cartons, CNG, PNG, biofuels, dry syrup, dry injections and electric vehicles.
