The Jammu School Education Authority (DSEJ) in collaboration with UNICEF India has announced an online career counseling program.

The vocational guidance program, called Manzilein, is aimed at pupils in grades 9 to 12 who have been enrolled in the J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) or in any other public school in the territory of the Union.

The official website www.jkcareerportal.org has comprehensive information on over 550 careers, over 20,000 colleges and over 2.5 lakh programs in 16 countries around the world. Additionally, information on over 1150 entrance exams and over 1100 scholarships is also available on the website.

Sources said that after the launch of the hotline by the school education directorate, many students requested a specialized portal with comprehensive information on careers, colleges, exams, vocational courses. and scholarships.

“In the ongoing lockdown when all educational institutions have been closed, this government initiative will certainly help students prepare for their future plans to choose the career of their choice,” an official said.

“In case students do not know their registration number or fail to log in, they can contact their respective school / district nodal manager / school manager / nodal officer at JKBOSE or the counseling cell. If students are still having difficulty, they can call our Aao Baat Karein helpline on 6006800068, ”added the manager.
